Mary Rozzi is an American photographer based in Paris, New York and Los Angeles who works primarily in fashion, beauty and portraiture. She graduated from Parson's School of Design in New York City and shoots for major publications (Vanity Fair, Elle, Instyle, Glamour) as well as shooting campaigns for major brands (La Perla, Ferragamo, Tressemme, L'oreal, Nivea). Mary's focus is in exploring intimacy, encouraging accidents of natural light, quirks of personality and conveying a certain magic of stopping a moment in time. Her work reveals a fascination with memories and the unexpected; split seconds hidden inside movement and the chance to change how we remember the past. The uniqueness of personalities and variations of light, natural or controlled, are explored in her work. Mary pushes towards the extreme edges of overexposure, creating ghosts and the visibility of air and calm, as much as she reaches towards a heightened sensation of potent artificiality. In lighting a subject she uses fashion and femininity towards a modern perspective on the traditional role of beauty.
Working primarily with women as her subject, Mary's work explores body language, heightening moments and the mischievous potential of interaction.
"Mary, your work is gorgeous."
"My luck at having crossed paths with Mary Rozzi and finding the visible to my audible, has been enormous for me. She's a human sheild, an enabler and a respectful partner to the reality she documents."
"With good old fashion film and feminine ease, Mary snaps beautiful, straight forward and true."

"The first time I worked with Mary Rozzi I felt like a star shining in a sea of diamonds. She creates a secret world filled with strong beauty, fairy tale glow, and commanding confidence. I was able to have complete trust in the fact that any visual she would capture would be something I could refer to time and time again with my own visual art. She blurs the line between art and life."
" In her execution, Mary Rozzi uses precision and spontaneity at once in her work. She not only witnesses her subject's natural beauty and stills it in a photograph, she demands honesty and vulnerability which translates to perfection in a portrait. "
"You are magical Mary and I am so happy to have worked with you !
Thank you for smiling, standing in the rain, and making me feel so at ease with something I rarely do."
"I believe that we live in a society of opposites, one thing seems to always mean another. To speak very clearly and literally, Mary Rozzi brought me into myself."
"Mary's energy inspired me to truly relax and be myself in front of her lense. her photography has a warmth and glow that comes from her wonderful collaborative, sensitive and FUN spirit! Working with Mary was an honor and pleasure that I want to repeat again and again...a girl can only hope!"
